Um, sorry about the random poll for this week. In fact, I thought of a suitable, non-random poll just minutes after creating this week's poll, but it was too late. In fact, I think I've already forgotten the new idea.... Poop. Anyway, here are the results:

This week's poll was taken from Gryphic's Poll of the Week suggestion on the fourm. See, polls you suggest do get in sometimes. Sometimes. If they're good. And if I can't think of a poll for this week.

Also, since I'm moving tomorrow, this poll may be up for more than a week. Possibly two weeks. It'll be strange, and I hope it doesn't need to, because the POTWs are a handy way to tell how old Four Island is.

They don't, and I could never tell them. I only need to say that I've had a horrible week this week. I've explained it further here.

If I do go on Yaplet or The Fourm today, I might be very annoyed, or simply depressed. I'd be annoyed because FIREFOX IS A BEEPING BEEPHOLE, and if you people argue against that statement, even if you think it's false, all you'd be doing is annoying me more. You may think you know Firefox, but you haven't had it crash EVERY FREAKING 10 MINUTES while typing a LONG post! The slowdown's even worse that.

I'd be depressed for, well, read the think in the link above. I'm sorry, people, for what I've done, and I'm especially sorry to Gryphic, for yelling at you yesterday, and Pyro, for asking you to watch the tape. I've just had a very bad week. I hope you can forgive me.

Wow! People apparently really like KFM! And I never knew! Well, I kind of guessed in Hello KFM, but.... wow.... Anyways, here are the results:

I think I may try to bring KFM back. I mean, I like that comic a lot. It's quite a lot of fun. And I don't think I deleted the original comics, they're still here on my computer, just not available to the world. The only problem I have is with motivation. I procrastinate way too much. I need to find out a way to get around the procrastination problem. Ideas? Please comment.

In other news, there's going to be some scheduled downtime on Monday. It should start around 7 o'clock AM and end around 4 o'clock PM. Sorry about this disruption, I know, Four Island downtimes makes people sad.

YAY for the 100th post! 10 months of writing posts for Four Island has wielded this great result. (Though I only started recently writing a post a day) Thanks to all who read Four Island! In other news, you may have guessed that today's my birthday! YAYZ! Also, the weirdest thing happened this morning. (No, not as weird as the personality swap) When I woke up, I looked at the clock and it was 4:44. StRaNgE.

Goodness, I don't think I've ever seen so many people vote No on a poll before. I guess you all just felt very strongly against it. Thank's for your opinion! This poll was actually important because, as I'm rewriting Four Island, I wanted to know what I should do for a home page and I was going to take these results into effect. Here are the results:

I'd also like to point out an interesting pattern I've noticed recently. I've been sick for the last two days so I haven't been on The Fourm or on Yaplet. Now, remembering that, read these notes:

• I am (normally) always on Four Island.
• It is rare for two people to log on within 5 minutes of each other.
• When someone logs in, and there is no one already logged in, they will wait 5 minutes for someone else to log in. If they don't, they log out.

Now, process that with me being sick. Ahhhh, bad effects, right? Also, I'm sorry, I was going to talk to you peoples about how the new Four Island was doing, but I'm still not feeling very well. Maybe later.

In other news, you many have noticed that we have reverted the Layout 4. Sorry about that. Many people didn't quite like the style and the truth was, it broke in many browsers and many screen resolutions. Apparently, it broke in every browser and screen resolution other than mine. Oops.

EDIT: You also may have noticed that my username's changed. It has. Don't worry. You're not going insane.

Charlotte-type-Oooh! This week's poll went well. We got the same number of votes as last week, now isn't that strange. I'm pleased to see that most people use Yaplet as it's a valuable resourse to us, and I'm especially pleased that no one voted for option #4. So anyway, here are the results:

I'd also like to mention that I've rewritten the blogging system for Four Island. Now, I can post posts that only get added to a separate table, the 'pending' table, and a daily cronjob will move one of these over to the real table a day. That way, Four Island can have article-style posts occuring more often.

Last but not least, I am going to get rid of MediaWiki and write the Wiki myself. It's just part of the "I only want to use my own code" type of thing.

Fouripedia is the new Four Island wiki! Yay! We'd like everyon who wants to to help contribute to this wiki! To be able to edit pages on the wiki, you must have an account on the fourm. Sorry about that, but it's just an extra security precaution, mixed with a minor convenience.

This week looks pretty interesting. We've got quite a lot of votes. I like how many people have chosen The Fourm! Thanks to everyone who voted! Unfortunately, this poll didn't included Fouripedia, but that's because it didn't exist yet. Here are the results:

Speaking of the Projects site, I'd like to say something. Some people (unregistered, so I don't know how they managed to) have been posting links to porn on the projects page using the commenting system. I've deleted it all, but I've also disabled the commenting system temporarily because of this. I need to find and fix this security hole because we cannot have people hacking into Four Island and advertising porn. So, sorry for the inconvenience and I hope the commenting system is back up soon.

And to end off on a good note, Four Island has recently passed it's 5th milestone! 4444 hits! YAY! The reason this is so amazing is because the last milestone, 1337, happened pretty recently, specifically Valentine's Day!

Some fourm users have reported that the scroll bar or other scrolling functionality has vanished from Four Island. This is true. It is believed that the JavaScript used to generate the snow is somehow messing with users' ability to scroll. The JavaScript will disappear with the end of the party, generally 24 hours after the 4444th hit. However, the exact time of the milestone is not currently known.

Okay, today I have quite a lot to talk about. Why don't we start out with this week's POTW:

Speaking of the POTW, because last week I was short on time, I didn't get to say this: That poll actually did have a purpose. I wore that shirt one day in public, and immediately got comments back. Some people wanted to buy it off of me, and some told me I looked like an idiot. Oh well.

Speaking of voting on things, as two days ago was the first of the month, the first ever QOTM (Quote of The Month) took place. And guess who won. Yep, it's good ol' #2. Look at if you like, it's pretty funny, but there are funnier ones. For instance, look at #30 and try to tell me that it's not funnier.

So remember peoples, get voting on quotes! There are already about 91 quotes up, and because #2's already won, it cannot win again. Can't wait to see the next winner!

Okay, to some exciting information! Well, peoples, as I'm sure you've noticed, Four Island is a little WHOLE LOT different! That's because I finally got tired of Layout 3, and we have finally moved to wonderful layout 4!

I hope this layout will be a wonderful one, not only because it's the FOURth layout, but also because everything is becoming more integrated. The Fourm and the Quotes DB have moved in now, and the Projects site is on it's way. Also, the header image at the top will be fun because it will be another thing I can change on holidays! (BTW, there is a holiday in 2 days!) So, let's all congratulate layout 4! Even though it's not COMPLETELY done yet, it will be soon.

And to end off, I'm hosting a new website. Say hello to "Colour Pencils" from Gryphic! Hello! I know, I know. It has U in it. Don't worry, it's driving me insane as well. But it's her blog, and while I can change it, that would be rude.
